How to speak effectively?

Hi guys, today I watched a TED video "How to speak so that people want to listen".In this Justin Treasure said what are the things or qualities we have to avoid and what qualities we have to build in this video.

In suggested that we have to avoid these qualities:

  • Gossip
  • Negativity
  • Judging
  • Complaining
  • Excuses
  • Lying
  • Dogmatism

He suggested that we have to follow or build these qualities:

Hail

  • Honestly- be clear and straight
  • Authenticity- be yourself
  • Integrity-be your word
  • Love -wish them well

He also suggested that we have the toolkit for it. They are:

  • Pace
  • Register
  • Timbre
  • Prosody
  • Pitch
  • Volume

By using this toolkit and by building "HAIL" qualities we can make our speech powerful.By building these qualities we can make someone to listen what we are speaking.
